Welcome Back!

Okay. So the only post I didn't delete was from when I was ticked off in 2004. It's 2008. I just spent yesterday evening listening to a cadre of meany heads tell tall tales about my man, Obama. I don't know why I listen. I guess I just need to be reminded that there are mentally ill people out there and they need our help.

I shall never forget the sweet refrain of Republicans in chorus crying "drill baby, drill. drill baby, drill." The pithy one-liners from McCain's running mate, Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, about Obama's inexperience. It reminds me of something I heard once about a pot calling a kettle something..."black" was it?

I noticed she didn't go into any great detail about her plan to require abstinence-only sex education in public schools... Maybe it was because her un-wed, prego, 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, was in the audience, diligently holding the hand of her high school sweet heart, Levi. I hear she stole Levi from her ex-best friend Jennifer after homecoming because Jennifer wouldn't go all the way... But that's just a rumor. The point is, I'm guessing they had a lot of talks that sounded something like this ... "Oh Bristol, I know you really like Levi but if he loves you, he'll wait until you two are married." Teenagers! They just never listen.

The problem is that I don't really hate McCain. I remember when he wasn't that bad. I thought it was nice that Obama praised him for his service to our country as a veteran and a Senator. I believe that the negative comments he made about McCain were not cheap shots but statements of fact. I am extraordinarily disappointed that McCain, who appears to be nearing the end of his life, chose such a inexperienced, self-righteous, gun-toting, Arctic-drilling ninny to be "a heartbeat away from the presidency." There are combinations of McCain and others out there that I thought would be tough to beat a couple of months ago. But he picked ... Palin? Whatever. He has no respect for the American people. He's dead to me.

I'm reviving this blog because after last night, I'm all fired up. The Loud Mouth Democrat is back and I'm going to say exactly what I think. Obama/Biden for America because we can't survive without them. McCain/Palin for dogcatcher ... because you've got to be stupid and mean to catch dogs.
